Some USIM students came all the way from Malaysia to bumi Mansurah for observation & studying purpose had already gone back after 10days stay, among which one of them was my relative.
Jangan tinggalkan kami ! kami mau pulang ke Malizia jua!
[atas: USIM, bwh : MU Stud (y cute2) ]

(ade org kate budak2 mansurah cute2, no offence lol)

It’s good for her to come, since we can replenish our stok serai, stok halia, stok sup bunjut, stok daun limau purut etc. juga bagus utk jiwa2 y merindui org malizi.thank you abe e for the kiriman and thank you amirah for being the post girl sengihnampakgigi

We’re just finished up Hepatitis case, where the doctor which is a board member of Asian Pacific Association of the Liver Disease claimed that, Hepatitis A cases in Egypt is almost 100%, which means all those small kids up to old folks are actually hep A patients/ carriers. And something to mind for all Malaysian students in Egypt, u might be infected as well if u are keen enough of eating outside ( means any local restaurant, or kedai2 3asir d tepi jalanan y use the same glass for all the customers, or kedai2 makan y less hygienic etc ). So it’s advisable if u can prepare your own food, or lessen the frequency of eating outside, or not to drink/eat using the same glass/plate the shop provides, and the most important thing, get your vaccination!

“ Its something related to environment, cleanliness, hygiene, that’s why its prevalent in Egypt. Because our people are not clean. This is the only people in the world, that go to the water passages, for urination n defecation, in the water canal, and using the water to clean themselves. And they pray afterwards. Since thousand yrs, and they never change. Be ‘proud’.”

“ It’s very important for the young doctors to know, that we have to be clean. And these cleanliness and better hygiene have negative impact on health. better hygiene negative impact on health. When age shifted up, acute hepatitis become serious. So our dirty children having acute hepatitis in the street, this pass unnoticed and they become immune. But if they become clean, living inside clean houses, eating clean food, they are not immune. When they start going to secondary school n start eating outside the house, in unclean restaurant n all restaurants are unclean, they will catch acute hep A and acute hep A in your age is fatal, almost fatal. That’s why , hygiene has –ve impact. This is against all the rules. But this is Egypt. U should learn the culture of Egypt. It’s not written in the book.”topi

Sarcastic senses throughout the lecture. excessive enough to make us laughing, over the ‘joke’ if u may describe it as one.xpasti

O yes, just to say this, studying with some big sweet strawberries in a bowl and put one into your mouth just when it’s tempting enough, is a total bliss. I just cant wait to leave Egypt to miss this moment.

so lame.

international cultural day thun ini agak membosankan. :) unless if u haven't watched such exhibitions, those national anthems from diff countries, those multimedia presentations n bla3.(bla3 adalah ayat org tgh borim) Malaysian students(mostly the committees) started to come over n prepare the booth since 10am , where there were no student from other nationalities except Malaysian, making us feel like this was really a Malaysian Day. only when the clock almost showed 12pm, ppl started to come, Syrian students showed up, together with some Egyptian n Saudi Arabian students. there's nothing more to tell as for me, it's not that interesting (that silat demonstration was awesome btw), except for all that cool pictures taken by taqi using his new toys, that brought me into a total jealousy. doomed.

yusof akram n friends demonstrated their dancing,
aint sure whether this is a national dance or what.
yusof akram, he's my round-mate

flag.

tempting enough especially when u r far away from home

karipap

puding jagung, Bakar y buat eh? bravo2

actually the event was boycotted by Egyptian students in our prog, as they claimed that the idea of coming up with cultural day was initially theirs, n out of nowhere it was adopted by the university. thus explaining kenapa hanya beberapa kerat egyptian students came for that day. but then i didnt get it why they cudnt tolerate with this. apo2 la jang~

previous Cultural Day was organised in a smaller scope- involving only students from our prog. initiated by those Egyptian students but still it's something interesting bcause everybody involved n gave their full cooperation, instead of what happened for current ICD.

our previous Cultural Day was here.

and sy masih blur bile mau balik.

Habit 1: Be Proactive

i took some excerpts from the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R.Covey that i found might benefit others someway. may do some good to u

***
Habit 1: Be Proactive

It means that as human beings, we are responsible for our own lives. Our behavior is a function of our decisions, not our conditions. We can subordinate feelings to values. We have the initiative and the responsibility to make things happen.

Look at the word responsibility -- "response-ability" -- the ability to choose your response. Highly proactive people recognize that responsibility. They do not blame circumstances, conditions, or conditioning for their behavior. Their behavior is a product of their own conscious choice, based on values, rather than a product of their conditions, based on feeling. Because we are, by nature, proactive, if our lives are a function of conditioning and conditions, it is because we have, by conscious decision or by default, chosen to empower those things to control us In making such a choice, we become reactive. Reactive people are often affected by their physical environment. If the weather is good, they feel good. If it isn't, it affects their attitude and their performance. Proactive people can carry their own weather with them. Whether it rains or shines
makes no difference to them. They are value driven; and if their value is to produce good quality work, it isn't a function of whether the weather is conducive to it or not.

Reactive people are also affected by their social environment, by the "social weather." When people treat them well, they feel well; when people don't, they become defensive or protective. Reactive people build their emotional lives around the behavior of others, empowering the weaknesses of other people to control them. The ability to subordinate an impulse to a value is the essence of the proactive person. Reactive people are driven by feelings, by circumstances, by conditions, by their environment. Proactive people are driven by values -- carefully thought about, selected and internalized values.

Proactive people are still influenced by external stimuli, whether physical, social, or psychological. But their response to the stimuli, conscious or unconscious, is a value-based choice or response.

As Eleanor Roosevelt observed, "No one can hurt you without your consent." In the words of Gandhi, "They cannot take away our self respect if we do not give it to them." It is our willing permission, our consent to what happens to us, that hurts us far more than what happens to us in the first place.

Once in Sacramento when I was speaking on the subject of Proactivity, a woman in the audience stood up in the middle of my presentation and started talking excitedly. It was a large audience, and as a number of people turned to look at her, she suddenly became aware of what she was doing, grew embarrassed and sat back down. But she seemed to find it difficult to restrain herself and started talking to the people around her. She seemed so happy.

I could hardly wait for a break to find out what had happened. When it finally came, I immediately went to her and asked if she would be willing to share her experience.
"You just can't imagine what's happened to me!" she exclaimed. "I'm a full-time nurse to the most miserable, ungrateful man you can possibly imagine. Nothing I do is good enough for him. He never expresses appreciation; he hardly even acknowledges me. He constantly harps at me and finds fault with everything I do. This man has made my life miserable and I often take my frustration out on my family. The other nurses feel the same way. We almost pray for his demise.

"And for you to have the gall to stand up there and suggest that nothing can hurt me, that no one can hurt me without my consent, and that I have chosen my own emotional life of being miserable --well, there was just no way I could buy into that.

"But I kept thinking about it. I really went inside myself and began to ask, 'Do I have the power to choose my response?" "When I finally realized that I do have that power, when I swallowed that bitter pill and realized that I had chosen to be miserable, I also realized that I could choose not to be miserable.

"At that moment I stood up. I felt as though I was being let out of San Quentin. I wanted to yell to the whole world, 'I am free! I am let out of prison! No longer am I going to be controlled by the treatment of some person.'

At one seminar where I was speaking on the concept of proactivity, a man came up and said, "Stephen, I like what you're saying. But every situation is so different. Look at my marriage. I'm really worried. My wife and I just don't have the same feelings for each other we used to have. I guess I just don't love her anymore and she doesn't love me. What can I do?" "The feeling isn't there anymore?" I asked.

"That's right," he reaffirmed. "And we have three children we're really concerned about. What do you suggest?"
"Love her," I replied.
"I told you, the feeling just isn't there anymore."
"Love her."
"You don't understand. The feeling of love just isn't there."
"Then love her. If the feeling isn't there, that's a good reason to love her."
"But how do you love when you don't love?"
"My friend, love is a verb. Love -- the feeling -- is a fruit of love the verb. So love her. Sacrifice.
Listen to her. Empathize. Appreciate. Affirm her. Are you willing to do that?"

Proactive people make love a verb. Love is something you do: the sacrifices you make, the giving of self, like a mother bringing a newborn into the world. If you want to study love, study those who sacrifice for others, even for people who offend or do not love in return. If you are a parent, look at the love you have for the children you sacrificed for. Love is a value that is actualized through loving actions. Proactive people subordinate feelings to values. Love, the feeling, can be recaptured.

Belasungkawa

About 9pm last night abe e sms-ed, “p.ngah dah meninggal, 2am td” which means about half an hour before the sms was sent. Pak ngoh was my father’s brother. The news wasn’t a much surprise to me, since he was a diabetic and yes, he got his leg cut since some time ago I couldn’t recall how many yrs it had been .I’m not that close with him neither-even he didn’t recognize me which is which, al-maklumlah sudah tua. going back to Msia last summer, I spent some days in KL before heading back to kelate, and paying him a visit together with my sister. He could still remember my sister, but barely not remember me. Lagipun I’m amongst warga2 muda in family. So those come latter are always not being recognized. That’s normal. Kami kan masih kecik. =p luckily makngoh had her children around her. They’re living close to each other. Except mardhiyah yang belum kawen lg staying with her. (jgn kawen lagi tau. Tunggu I balik dulu, xpun tunggu I kawen dulu =p)

Makngoh used to insist pakngoh on going back to kelate, staying there for good, but he refused to. I don’t know the reason why. Ade sket unsur2 psycho dimainkan, namun pakngoh sticked to his decision. “ saudara2 semua kt Kelantan, tanah pun kt sane, nak duduk sini sampai mati ke?” and that’s what happening then. Even though we have bunches of relatives in KL, but there’re bunches more in Kelantan. Now I can get the reasons behind why most parents especially Kelantan would rather have their children married to the spouse of the same negeri- one of them- they can easily be there for each other in any kinds of circumstances. Thus explain on how my in-laws so far are all from Kelantan. Me? Tgk je la nanti camne =p. Only God knows.

So it’s now left only ayh, her sister who lives just within walking distance from our house and his brother which is in Kuantan. Alhamdulillah none of them is diabetic. Even my father at the age of 64 complained of no elderly diseases. Everything is just within normal fitness, clear bill of health. It’s not surprising since he had been a little fussy on his food intake- he wont eat food cooked yesterday, so each time pun ma will cook something for him, or else he can sense it ‘ ni kari semalam eh?” “nil auk kelmarin ke?” mmg psychic! Satu lagi kemestian ayah mase kerja2 dulu, mmg habit die utk makan madu during breakfast, usually madu dengan roti. U can find prophet’s narration on this habit. A habit I just about to start off, yet I dun know how long I’m gonna istiqamah with this ( I know I wont be that long but it’s worth trying kan ) =p

Jutaan takziah to Makngoh, kak emi, abe cuin, abe syahir and mardiyah. Only some regards I can send from here, just couldnt join the crowd being there for u. Abe & family, kak & family, and abe e & family are there, enough to represent us showing much condolences, the least we can do.

Every beginning will meet an end.
Every living soul will die someday.
kullu nafsin za2iqotul-maut

budak makan kabel

ye, budak2 skang ni suke makan wayar telepon. mane tidaknya, termasuk kali ni, sudah kali ke-3 or ke4 kabel telefon rumah saya (Malaysia) dicuri. kabel lesap, ganti baru, lesap lagi, ganti baru lagi.agaknya pasni TNB perlu come up with wireless connection for the homeland phone kot. skali budak2 tu makan wireless port lak T_T.

so?

let's do something with the 'inside' so we can come up with a good 'outside'. dan tiadalah y paling berkesan, melainkan kita mendekatkan diri kepadaNya- semuanya dgn ilmu. bukankah jika kita hendakkan both dunia dan akhirat adalah dengan ilmu?

aduhai budak2 y suka makan kabel telefon, silelah kembali 'makan nasik'...

penat y berbaloi sekiranya..

yes, the new semester is so tiring.the first event will be at the faculty, then we'll be moving to either dept or to the GIT center depend on which group we're in but at the end of 4th week we'll all go to both dept and GIt center. for those suppose to be in GIT centre groups will be a lil luckier bcause afer the clinical training is the clinical seminar which is held at the centre, while those in dept groups will have to rush to the centre,n currently i'm in that group! T_T. after clinical seminar we hv some session at the faculty again, whter PBL or skill lab. can u imagine how tiring the life is?rs cam nak beli basikal aje, xpun beli moto cam apang tu.haha =p to make it worse, soon the schedule will be started at 8.30am instead of 9am.xpasti saye rase saye perlukan pil penambah tenaga, balik umah je rase cam lembik.( oye, aritu baru aje ternampak minuman tongkat ali power root tu kt wekala tir3ah )

bila penat2 gini, perlu kite renungkan kembali niat kite bergelumang dalam ape2 arena y kite ceburi. sekiranya apa y dilakukan bukan kerna-Nya, alangkah ruginya.. penat itu hanyalah sia2 tanpa sedikit pun pandangan dr Nya..kan?

kami bermain2 dalam OT.

kehidupan

there'll one moment where u'r gonna sit silent and reflect back what u have gone through all the years back..what u have done and contributed to others & to u yourself, how your friend(s) live their life, what they experience in life, and many others.

school and sister

He-he..shapiq dah bebel sbb x hapdet blog..but akak hapdet ni bukan sbb syapiq dah bebel, but more because of I have something in mind to say. banyakckpThat’s the initial purpose of the existence of this blog in its early year somewhere in 2006.

Just now we had just received our phase 2 handbook, which I haven’t finished reading yet =p . phase 2 is commenced from sem 6, in which we’ll begin our clinical phase. We’re expected to come up with one dissertation (SSC) for this semester onwards. Everyday class will be started at 9am finishing at 3.30pm, a schedule that is no longer full of ample time compared to previous schedule, in which the class started at 11am and finished at 2.30pm. hehe. Lectures, ward round (clinical training), clinical seminar, skill lab and pbl session, these are all what we gonna encountered throughout the current semester, everyday! And for the dissertation each student will be assigned to one professor, sound cool huh? But dun expect too much. You'll never know what is coming upon. But fast I learn that professors here are so much helpful, so with our colleagues.peace

“ Let say all the Arabic- speaking students absent for that session and there are only Malaysian students, what will happen to the Malaysian students?” that’s the point raised by Mahmoud Nosser, an Egyptian colleague to Dr Said el-Hady during the meeting, afraid that we Malaysians gonna have some difficulties communicate with the patients during the ward round, that captured our heart over his concern towards us. Thank you Nosser for being a lovely (?) colleague and so considerable. It’s not only Nosser, the rest just did the same..( eh cam lebih2 je puji ni..tp ikhlas ni~ topi) btw Nosser, we do speak a little Arabic sometimes, but not as much as local can be. We may understand some fractions of the conversations but if you speak for some hours then we might just understand 15 minutes out of the remaining hours. :D maybe we shud spend more hours on the street talking with the locals rather than confined in our room watching Japanese or Korean or Malay (?) movies, or instead of those maybe we shud watch Arabic movies after this? Yes, good idea! tanduk

Sebuah pesanan buat y bergelar wanita, terutama buat adik-adik perempuan saya y comel2 belakawomen. Not for display. [Maafkan saya sekiranya justifikasi ini tidak adil, sekiranya anda lelaki y beriman (Alhamdulillah) abaikan sahaja tulisan ini,it’s nothing to do with u dan sekiranya terasa, it’s none of my business but yours ] yang paling penting, pemakaian y disuruh-Nya adalah yang menutup diri sebagai tanda mengangkat harga diri seorang wanita. Bila dah kahwin nanti nak pakai seksi2 bagai nak rak pun xpe. Sile2..time tu xde y melarang.angkatkening
